Wednesday we started with Math, as we are trying to every day.

"Why do you take pictures of me during
math every day?"  "Because I want to have
more school pictures of you!"

We also did Spanish.

After that, she took a break to play Minecraft with a friend for a while.  While she did that, I went to the church to do a few things and brought some homework home.  Afterwards she did her programming homework, and wrote an awesome essay about The Witch at Blackbird Pond.  Horse lessons are tonight too.

Here is her essay - she was supposed to pretend she was a defense attorney proving Kit was innocent of all accusations.

My client, Kit, has been accused of being a witch. The first suspicion of this is caused by her ability to swim; witches can float. However, she was born and raised on Barbados, where her grandfather taught her to swim. Is it not possible for people to learn to swim if there’s water nearby?
Other accusations of witchcraft is her friendship with Widow Hannah Tupper of Blackbird Pond, who is an alleged witch, but is there proof she’s a witch? Another thing she supposedly did was cause illness and even death to fall on most children in the town. I must catch up with the news; I didn’t know natural illnesses were declared impossible, or that people could only ever die because of witchcraft.
A citizen said that his child had cried all night that somebody was pricking him with pins, but it’s perfectly likely that there were pins or other pointy objects that someone had spilled in his bed and missed a few when picking it back up. Another child had seen a dark beast with horns standing at the foot of her bed, yet nobody thought that children have vivid and colorful imaginations. She may have been frightened by a story or may have been dreaming when she thought she saw the creature.
A woman said that Kit had talked to her child and that, within ten minutes, she’d fallen into a fit and caught an illness for five days, but what proof is there that the child wasn’t severely allergic to something Kit had been carrying and wasn’t aware of? Another claimed that she’d been sitting near her window, sewing a jacket, when she’d glanced up and seen Kit staring inside the window and that, after that, the sleeve would never set right. However, why would Kit not have been curious and looked inside the window? People tend to look when somebody’s looking at them, right? Plus, why would making jackets always go perfectly? Why wouldn’t there never be any mishaps? Perhaps everybody only thinks that Kit is behind everything because they’re already suspicious of her and only truly notice common mishaps when Kit’s near.
Another illogical accusation against Kit is a man saying he had seen Kit and Goody Tupper dance around a fire in the meadow one night, and that a black man had suddenly appeared from nowhere and joined in. Are vivid dreams nonexistent these days? Does nobody wake up thinking that their dream is real anymore?

* Side note - it looks like she only did three subjects today, but don't forget we do block scheduling - we did multiple lessons in each subject.
