Sunday, August 13

We all got up early so we could go to church together.  It was very hard to go to church in May when Tim wasn't well enough to preach, but this morning when he wasn't even there was awful.  Everyone spoke well of him, the message was good, but.....Tim wasn't there.  It just wasn't right.

After church we went to the fellowship hall to eat.  I never knew how hungry grief makes you.  We invited the church to join us and they just took care of everything for us, once again.

After we ate, we had to measure and see who is taller - something that Kara and Hannah have been doing since we realized Kara was close to Hannah's height.  Hannah is two years older than Kara, yet it looks like Kara has outgrown Hannah!

Then cousin Michael said, let's see who's taller - Hannah, Kara, or me.  lol!  So, we took at picture of the three oldest cousins to see who was taller.  ;-)  It's hard to tell.  ;-)

As lunch was ending, I just couldn't leave.  I wanted to get closer and closer to everyone.

The kids were still having fun too.

But all good things must come to an end.  Pulling out of the driveway and leaving Vicky there standing alone was so hard.  This is the first time she will be alone.  One or all of her kids have been with her since before Tim died.

She will grieve, then heal.  But it won't be the same again.
