It's Monday, which is grocery day.  So, was I able to keep it under $8?  No way, man.  But, I just got essentials and didn't do too bad at a total of $24.36.  Ah, ALDI, I love ya.

$2.95 - half gallon organic milk

$5.48 - fresh whole chicken (I'm out of stock - translation:  it's time I roast a chicken so I can make some with the bones!)

Side note, if I had shopped at Walmart instead, my total would have been $36.28.  I'm happy to save $12 by just going across the street.

For those two months, I'm over $16.54 if I use the tight $400 a month budget.  YAY!  I think that's pretty awesome.  :-)

A new month starts the 19th, according to my credit card billing cycle.  Onto another $400 challenge!
