Seriously?

This is Kara's new favorite word - seriously.  Not like she used to, adding it on to the end of a sentence so we'd know she was serious.  But as a question.  Seriously?

It's pretty hilarious, until it's annoying.  ;-)  She'll be doing a worksheet and say, "6 plus 6?  Seriously?"  Or, "mark the vowels?  Seriously?"  Lol!

I'm thinking it's one of those things I must say too often and she picked it up from me.  :-)

P.S.  School is going really well.  She has 4-5 tests a week.  Here's what this week's scores look like so far:
Oral Reading - 100%
Written Math - 100%
Oral Math - 100%
Phonics - 99%
Spelling - tomorrow

I'm very proud of her!

I just talked with my contractor, and he says he probably won't be able to get started with my kitchen for another month.  That stinks because I've had the plan and the money and been ready to go for a month already, but it'll be worth it in the end.  When we get working on the kitchen, we'll take some days off from school.  As of right now, we're going full speed ahead with 5 days a week (but we like doing school on Saturdays so we can see friends one day during the week).

This week we're taking Thursday off.  As soon as we're finished with school today, we're packing up and heading to my best friend's house.  She lives an hour east.  We're spending the night (who doesn't love slumber parties?) and going to the beach tomorrow.  (She's only about an hour an a half away from the beach.)  Her little girl who is Kara's age is going into Kindergarten this year and won't be starting school until after Labor day.  Everyone else in the country has started back already so we're hoping the beach will be empty.  :-)

Don't forget to take before and after pictures of the kitchen! We are putting our kitchen project on hold until we have the consultation with Hannah's orthodontist at the end of Sept...
