I finally made it to Publix today to coupon shop. I should say shop the sales. I only used one coupon. That's okay! Sales save you way more.
I got all of this for $53.59, plus tax. It originally costs $85.81. I saved $32.32, which is 38%.
I could have probably saved more, but like I said, I shopped sales alone without coupons. That's okay, I'm working my way back into this and am happy with my savings. :-)
I look back at the old days when I was super into coupons and I saved so much! Take a look at this month (May 2012):
I spent I saved/earned
4/22-4/28 earned $27.50
4/29-5/5 $137.75 $256.10
5/6-5/12 $67.21 $138.03
5/13-5/19 $82.61 $130.86
Monthly Total: $260.07 $524.99 (minimum - didn't calculate all of savings)
A minimum of 67% savings. Yay!
If I divide $260.07 by 4 weeks, that's an average of $65.02 per week.
I mean, WOW. I was a pro by that time. I don't know if I have the time to do what I did then, but I just might with our new school schedule! I'm going to try it for fun and see how I do. $65 a week for groceries, household items, and toiletries? Wow again.
