Fjord Cruise - Day 11

We woke up to a day in Reykjavik, Iceland.  We were all nursing our colds, it was in the 50s and there were 30 mile an hour winds, so we decided to lay low and enjoy the view from the ship - while eating and playing cards, of course!  We also took time this day to talk about where we'd like to go on our next trip.  We decided on the Grand Canyon.  Reykjavik has loads of neat things like hot springs, geysers, and water falls, but the Shannons explained we have ones even more spectacular right in the states, so we didn't pay extra for an excursion and stayed on the ship and decided to take advantage of those awesome things here.  One of which is the Grand Canyon.

The side of the ship that we were docked to had views of a city - and not a pretty one.  I'm not really into cities, so we sat facing the other side of the ship for the day.

You can see our ship stuff in the way but it was just city on that side.  No, thanks.

So pretty.  What a relaxing day in port.  We stayed overnight in Reykjavik.  How neat to be sleeping while we're staying still.
