Harris Teeter and Aldi 4/5

I was already out coupon shopping for a customer, so I picked up a few things we needed - dr. pepper, ketchup, potatoes, and Kara's crackers w/peanut butter.

Harris Teeter was first.  Man I love that store.  Kara gets her own little shopping cart, a cookie, AND a balloon.  They sure have amazing customer service!  She was able to buy something of her own again, like our last trip.  Here's her deal:
1 box lucky charms - $3.49
on sale for $2.50
used online coupon (sent it to our membership card) - $0.50
used internet coupon (printed it out) - $0.50 which doubled to $1
final price - $1.00
She saved $2.49, or 71%
She sure loved that!  :-)

Then it was mommy's turn.  Their deal for Dr. Pepper (Buy 2 12 pks, get 3 12 pks free) sounds really awesome, but their original price of $6.39 makes it not so exciting.  But, it works out to $2.55 per 12 pk, which is the best price around now and I'm getting very low in my stockpile, so I got 5 12 pks for $12.78, but I saved $19.17 (remember, 3 were free)

Then Michael's favorite Pepperidge farm cookies that are normally SO expensive were on sale for half off.  ($1.75).  Then I had a $1 off 2 coupon, which makes them $1.25 each.  I got 6 of those.  $1.25 x 6 = $7.50, but I saved $13.44.

Last, but not least, I got some pizzas - Ristorante brand.  They're really good and Michael wants to try a different brand than Red Barron.  I consider $3 per pizza a good deal, so when these were half off $6.39 at $3.19 AND I had a $1 off 2 coupon, they were $2.69 each.  Yeah, I got 6.  :-)  That was $16.14 total, but I saved $22.20.

So, Kara's and my total with tax was $38.19
We saved $57.30
or 60%.

Next was Aldi for my customer.  The things I picked up for myself were:
Strawberries - $1.39
10 lbs potatoes - $4.29 (the website said they were supposed to be $1.99.  Grrrrr.)
Cheese crackers with peanut butter for Kara's lunches - $0.99
Cheese crackers with peanut butter for Kara's lunches - $0.99
Ketchup - $1.19
Total - $8.85
I'm not sure how much I saved, but the strawberries were $3.50 and the potatoes were $8.98 at Harris Teeter.  Oh, and the ketchup was $1.59 at walmart.  So that's $7.20 savings right there.  Let's just go with that.  :-)  That's 45% savings.
