CVS 12-19-17

I hit CVS first, all excited to do this the new way - with no paper coupons.  Okay, I had one.  But all the rest I had electronically sent to my CVS membership card and they came off automatically.  Very nice!  I told the nice lady at the register that I was wanting to get back into couponing and she sweetly helped me with things that are different now.  I also told her that I was going to shop three times, separately, so it wouldn't be too overwhelming for me.  lol.  She was up for it.  lol.

Here is a picture of $170.76 worth of stuff at CVS.  I spent $29.74.
That's an 83% savings of $141.02.

Regular Price $29.49
$3 paper coupon

Revlon blush (this deal didn't work out the way I thought it would.  I'm considering returning it.)
Regular Price $11.49
4EB given back
Works out to $7.49  (I was supposed to get 3EB more for reaching the beauty limit, but this blush didn't count for some reason.  So, I thought I was getting it for $4.49, which would have been better.)
UPDATE:  I did return this.  They gave me the $11.49 back, and let me keep the 4EB
My new total spent was $18.25.  Much better.
When I returned this, I got a coupon for a $0.25 candy bar.  I bought it for the nice cashier who was patient and sweet to me.  I told her I didn't want her rolling her eyes every time she saw me coming.  She laughed and thought I was silly and enjoyed her candy bar.  Sometimes it's nice to pay sweet with sweet!

So, here are the final numbers:
Everything at original price:  $170.76
I paid $29.74.
I saved $141.02, which is 83%

Yes, I wouldn't have paid the astronomical original prices for most things, but my deals were still good ones.  For example, the $29.74 I paid is what I would have paid for the Prevacid alone.

All in all, it feels good to be back!  I want to make sure I take time to do this each week.  It was really fun!
