CVS 5/11
I got 3 24pks of water, 1 candy bar, a 12pk diet coke, 3 boxes cinnamon toast crunch, a nice razor with 4 razor refills, 3 15pks of Kara's Goodnights. All of that is worth $79.84 at CVS, but I didn't spend that! Let me show you how I saved 84%. :-)
Before I get into what each thing costs, you have to know how I brought so much money into this shopping trip. I used some discover points to get a gift card, which had $11.77 left on it. I bought a $25 CVS gift card, and got a $5 CVS gift card free with it. AND I had $5 ECBs from last week (for spending $50 on 'beauty' products - shampoo). AND I got $1 ECBs for using my green bag tag (bringing my own bags instead of using theirs). So, I spent $25 on that gift card, but went into the store with $47.77 to spend.
Here's the details:
3 24pks of water - on sale for $2.44 each
(If I can get water for $3 or less, I'm going to buy some, so this was a good deal to me.)
So, $2.44 times 3 is $7.32 total.
3 boxes Cinnamon toast crunch - on sale for 3 for $9.
Used $1 off 3 coupon
Got $4 ECBs back for buying 3 boxes
Makes them $1.33 each, or $4 for 3 boxes.
1 candy bar - on sale for $0.75.
Got $0.75 ECBs back
Makes it free.
1 nice razor with 4 refills (Bic Soleil) - on sale for $6.99
Used $3 off coupon
Got $2 ECBs back
Makes it $1.99.
When you spend $20, you can get a 12pk of coke for $0.99.
So, I got a 12pk of diet coke - $0.99.
3 15pks of Kara's Goodnight diapers - on sale for $10 each
Used 3 $2 off coupons.
Got $10 ECBs back
Makes them $4.67 each, or $14 for all 3.
When you add that up, it totals $28.30, but I used $11.77 (which is the rest of that gift card), and the free $5 gift card, and the $1 ECBs for my green tag. What was left after that was $10.53, or $13.09 after taxes. Pretty good!!
My numbers look like this:
Total - $79.84
I spent - $13.09
I saved - $66.75
Which is 84%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
