Kara's first day of Kindergarten



My little baby got on the bus by herself for the first time today and was driven to school for her first day of kindergarten. None of us cried (God saw fit to distract us with a flooded basement). Kara was happy, so I was happy. Here she is sporting her new backpack.


She likes her teacher and has already made a new friend, which you know is the most important thing as a little girl. :-) Here's to a wonderful year in kindergarten!

That photo of Kara as a baby is so precious!!! You must have felt so proud sending her off to kindergarten for the first time! Sadly, I don't even remember my first day of kindergarten. I remember random days, but not the first day. I miss you - we should catch up soon!

Thank you, Kattrina. I think that picture is my all time favorite one of Kara. My mother-in-law took it for me.
I'd love to see you again sometime soon too! Post pictures of your new place - I'm so happy for you guys. :-)
