Day 2 - Drive to Alabama

Well, the internet at the hotel in good ol' Bama flat out stunk, so here I am posting today.

Friday we woke up after a terrible night's sleep and headed to Alabama.  (The fan was a nice, constant noise, but the A/C unit clicked on every 30 minutes or so and woke us up every time.  Michael kept thinking it was his alarm.)  Needless to say, we won't be staying at that hotel ever again. Thank goodness it was free!

Here are some pictures - Michael drove the whole 3 hours for me so I could snap away.  :-)

The views were lovely all the way from Knoxville, TN to Guntersville, AL.  Tennessee and Alabama are such beautiful states!  We saw water, trees, mountains, all lush and green the whole way:

Oooo!  Getting close.  Chattanooga is only an hour and a half from Guntersville.

We knew we were getting close when we saw Alabama stickers on the work trucks:

Chattanooga:  (if the highway is this gorgeous, I can't wait to explore it more!)

Roll Tide  :-)

Hey!  Scottsboro is the town next to us!  We are getting close.

First sign for Guntersville!

We stopped at Burger King for lunch before we headed over.  Can you tell she's excited?

Here Kara is wearing a toy bow just like Merida in Brave.  Kara and I LOVE that movie and have seen it a zillion times.  We both want to learn to shoot bows and arrows (at targets) just like Merida.

Our friends came in from Montgomery (3 hours south of us) and met us for dinner, then we hung out at their camper for the rest of the evening.  Tomorrow is going to be AWESOME!
