Merry Christmas - Part 1
We went out today, even though the sun STILL hasn't shown himself, despite several weather reports saying he would. Maybe later? I'm calling this post "part 1" in hopes that the sun will come out and there will be a "part 2" with sunshine.
Now, let's pray for sun and chill until lunch. :-)
Post sunset last night - from the hotel |
Driving through town Christmas morning to get to our property |
There are SEVERAL places that sell tractors in this town |
Not sure why this tank is out here, but I needed a picture |
Town vet |
On the causeway on our way to our property |
When the road gets steep and windy, you know you're close |
Ah, back again |
A girl and her woods |
She named the path that goes all the way through the property "Rocky Road" because it's a road with rocks. I love my literal kid. |
She is in love with "Baby Pine" |
On a mountain of dirt |
This section of the property has brown leaves clinging to trees and pine trees, so Kara named it "Late Fall" because the leaves are late to fall. |
Cool rock |
Please come out, sun. Please. |
Don't you love the lime green of these little pines? |
Bait and tackle shops on every corner |
Boat launches on every corner |
Birds and ducks everywhere. Shouldn't they be south for the winter? Wait! We are south! |
Next we found a park on the lake |
That brown strip toward the top of this picture is our property |
Rocks in the water |
Scrape the mud before you get in Daddy's truck |
These guys are out on the water Christmas day! |
Back at the hotel, reading her book |
Now, let's pray for sun and chill until lunch. :-)
