Work is Getting Done

I'm happy to say contractors have been back and are checking things off the list!

First, they put in a foot path from the
driveway around back to the patio.
We walk back there with the cats every
day.

While installing 4 outlets, I also received a new backsplash
to match the rest of the kitchen, which is what I wanted
in the first place.

I love it!

My bathroom backsplash was broken this whole time and
needed to be replaced.  We decided to get a kitchen
backsplash.  My contractor had to get creative
with molding and to cover up the mark left from the old
piece.

I love it even more than I thought I would.  I wish I
thought of this to begin with!

This is a picture from the store of the
new curtains I bought for the homeschool
room.  The sun comes in there so strongly,
we can't use the desk until after 3pm.
This is such a game changer!

They also put in a cat door for the screened in porch.  (Not so the cats can come inside the house, but to go inside the screened in porch.)  They didn't want anything to do with that thing!  But Kara worked and worked with them and they were experts in one day.  That girl is awesome.

Oh yeah, we had a family fire the other
night and it was awesome.  A bit
chilly though.  Finally.

We still have to have them chop tree trunks for firewood, cut down a few trees, and the painters need to do a few things.  But, I am so happy with the things these guys have been able to do.  Many things are serious quality of life improvers.
