More Big Stuff
Remember those big days I said would start being a regular thing? Yep, today is another one.
Firstly, Alabama is trucking along. Here are the photos and videos for Tuesday-today:
Look at those cinder block walls! Those go to our crawl space. Right? lol.
Meanwhile, here in Maryland, we contacted a realtor. Once Michael got the job, we decided it was smart to get the ball rolling on selling the house. We will probably only be here about 2 more months. Maybe 3. Who knows how long the house will sit on the market?
Today the realtor said houses are flying off the market here in our town. That would be nice! We're hoping the summer market will be nice and active, but time will tell. (I'm not really in a hurry to sell, but showings are no fun. Making your house as perfect as possible, leaving the house while people traipse through. After a while, it wears on you. Just today already I have snapped and Kara left and right to stop messing up something I just cleaned. I need to get a grip!)
We walked through the house so the realtor could tell us what needed fixed/changed so it can be ready for the market. I was mostly afraid she would say major things needed to be changed, like repainting the whole first floor or something! Fortunately, she said the purple kitchen walls can stay and then listed a few normal updates (most of which were outside - yeah, we're not gardeners - it turns out you should pull weeds and lay mulch, huh). I have been living here so long I didn't even notice a few other things, so I appreciate her pointing them out.
After that we talked about how much we feel comfortable selling for, then she mentioned she has a buyer who is interested in a house just like ours, in the same price range. So, we set up a showing for tomorrow, even though we're not actually on the market yet. I'm not getting too excited, but this HAS happened for us in the past. Of course, that was 2005 and the market was insane.
God is in control! :-D
