Alabama Footings

I'll get back to our visit with the Days tomorrow.  For now, look at this pretty picture:

The rectangle closest to the photographer is the storm shelter / pantry.  See the lake in the background?  Boy, it's cloudy today.

In the last week and a half, they have dug all the trenches for the footings, laid rebar to reinforce the footings, poured concrete for the footings, and you can see the rebar sticking up for our storm shelter. (It needs to be super strong, man.)

Then we got a nice bill.  :-D  Here we go!
