Back to the Days

So, after Ryan's soccer game, we headed back to Liz's house and got the food ready for lunch.  Ryan may have played soccer, but we all worked up quite an appetite!

Kara and Hannah ran off together, then Jessica and her crew came in, so I was able to take pictures of this beauty.

We were all so happy to see Nat come in the door.  Michael and my visits are few and far between (we usually travel to NC twice a year), but Nat is even less frequent - he comes once every two years or so.  I genuinely love everyone in Michael's family (not just because a few read this), and Nat just another person that is so much fun to be around.  He is always hilarious.  And it's fun to see Michael with his brother - the competitiveness is instinctual.

You know men, they like to be doing something while they're visiting with each other, so they opened the mini-corn hole game Jessica brought and played it right in the living room.

Peek at all the food!  The chips are in front - we really
did have loads of fruit and veggies too.   Yum!

Then Abby wanted Araya on her lap.  Abby is very much into baby dolls, and part of me wonders if Araya is a big, live baby doll to her since she doesn't walk and talk yet.  They get to see each other a lot, so they do very well together.  :-)

Kara has never been into babies - live or dolls - so she's chilling on the couch watching Michael and Nat play their game.

Hellooooo

She's at that age where she loves to stand
All the mommies got their kiddos in their bathing suits and covered in sunscreen (btw, no one got burned, so we did a good job!), and the kids got swimming while Liz and Brad and Vicky got the food ready.  I was shooed out of the kitchen and was grateful for it!  :-)  I loved visiting with everyone and taking pictures.

Time to swim!

Look who has her suit on and is ready to swim?

Hey, it's Grandma!

I love you, Grandma.

Here comes Abby again.  She loves that sweet baby!

You need some sunscreen before you go out, little one.  Maybe a little slobber will help rub it in.  :-)

I didn't catch any pictures of her in the water, but they said Araya really liked the water - it wasn't too cold for her at all.

Then the food was ready!  We all got our plates ready, then refilled, then got dessert.  Yum.

I love this picture of Vicky with her two youngest kids
Boy, the Days are all a good looking bunch, aren't they?

Big kids wrapped in towels wandered in for food, and little ones waited outside for their plates.  They all ate outside at the cousins table.

Okay, now a goofy one

Ah, that was so delicious.   After lunch, I wandered out front to see what that noise was.  Ryan was kicking the soccer ball onto the roof, and letting it roll back down to him.

Meanwhile, Nat and Aunt Kim started a game of horse.  Michael always talks about what a fun aunt Kim has always been.  She's always up for a game, whatever people are playing, and she is always fun.  I was sitting back taking pictures, and she even made time to visit with me and exchange recipes and see pictures of her grand babies.  She is such a nice lady, and the visits are even richer when she's there.

Then Ryan joined the game.

Then both Michael's wandered out to join in.

And Liz!

Here's Brad!

By now, most people who weren't playing, were sitting in lawn chairs in the garage.  The shade was so nice and there was even a breeze.  I'm so glad I wasn't out in the sun like those crazy guys.

Okay, more to come in my next post.
