How Pretty are Horses?

I love bringing my camera to the farm.  Horses are so beautiful - especially in the summer with their thin, glossy coats.

First, though, Kara finds the barn cats that are roaming the property.  This guy is always stalking squirrels.  Kara is the animal whisperer - any animal that doesn't care for people is putty in Kara's hands within a few minutes.  I think it's because she is incredibly patient, gentle, and will wait an eternity for them to come to her - she wants it that badly.

While Kara was on her trail ride, I snapped photos
of these beauties who are out in the pasture.
Look at that gorgeous dark brown color.

Peek a boo.  Someone braided this horse's mane into an
intricate braid.  The front had this pretty little braid.

He was in the barn, waiting for dinner.
But the light sure showed off his
pretty shiny coat!

Such majestic animals!
