The Next Step

So, Michael has been checking into the job front down in Alabama.  He called his friend down there who knows someone in a good position.  This guy is seeing if Michael's company can subcontract for his company.  If you are reading this and are familiar with how this thing goes, you'll know what I mean.  If not, just know Michael will stay working for his company, but get a contract with a 9-to-5 job for the government under the "prime" company (which this guy works for).  I hope that makes sense.  If not, do me a favor and just smile and nod.  :-)

Michael came downstairs to dinner today saying he just finished working on some paperwork for setting up that position.  He also said he has a meeting set up for when we go down there this month.  Did I mention that?  At the end of this month, we already have an early anniversary getaway trip planned to check out the area.  We plan to get a rental car and drive and drive and drive.  We also plan to pray over the area while we are there.  (Yes, God hears our prayers from here, but this will be neat too.)

So, an interview is in place.  The realtor has been contacted.

Then Michael says that it "just so happens" getting on this contract can only happen once a year.

During the month of October.

Remember what day I said God told us to start interviewing?

September 30th.

Wow.

This may or may not work out, depending on what God decides to do for us, but so far it's feeling good.  Prayers are still welcome, please!
