This is our last day in Alabama and we are bummed to leave.
First thing in the morning, we met our realtor at her office, and (with our pre-approval), we made our offer. We offered something on the low side in case they want to go negotiate up from there. (Without offering too low to offend them.) We talked it over with our realtor and offered what felt good to us.
Then we went straight to the property to hang out. It is our new heaven on earth. :-)

The roads out to our property are empty. THIS is what we are desperate for. |

where our house will be and our extra 10 acres will be. |

Our view with fog covering all the water. Too cool! |

My woods!!!! |

I HEART THESE WOODS |

*sigh*
After this, we went to lunch, where our realtor called saying it looks like they are going to take our offer with no negotiating! Now we wish we offered even less! lol! Not really. :-) The owner/realtor has to present the offer to the other owners (there are 4 total), so it will take a few days to hear back officially.
We drove around our new town and the towns nearby to see what life would really be like. My quaint little lake town has a Chick Fil A, a Walmart, a Publix, a Cato, a Belk, and Dollar Generals and cute restaurants galore. I am in love.
Now we have to drive to the airport. It was a sad, quiet drive.
I took a few pictures of the airport:

All the space and rocket signs. I think the city's nickname is Rocket City. |

Sun setting over the cotton fields |

This is the hat Michael ended up with - Roll Tide! |

Cotton fields all around the airport |
Our flight was early and very empty. We sat comfortably and landed a bit early in Dulles. As we walked into the airport, I asked Michael if he was ready to go back yet and he said, "Absolutely!"
We walked forever to the train.
We got on the train which took us to another terminal.
We got back on the train so it could take us to baggage claim. Oops.
We walked forever to get out of the building.
We waited forever for the shuttle to the parking lot.
We paid $50 for parking for 5 days. :-/
We drove an hour home, with traffic and construction everywhere.
The whole way home Michael kept talking about doing ANYTHING to live down in Alabama AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I don't know if you've ever seen Michael on a mission, but he makes things happen!
And now we're home, dreaming of our future life in Guntersville, Alabama.
