Good report
I went to parent/teacher conferences with Kara's teacher yesterday. Those sure are fun! Kara's teacher is awesome - she welcomes emails from parents and responds right away, she's silly and fun, and she is tailoring Kara's education to her. It doesn't get any better than that! Kara adores her too, which is a big part of her love for school.
The conference went really well. She started by showing me her report card, which doesn't use "A", "B", "C", like the big kids. There were three categories: 1 was "consistently demonstrates", which the teacher explained to mean Kara has mastered and doesn't need any help; 2 was "progressing in development", which means she needs a little reminding to get back on track, but can still do well; and 3 was "needs development".
My sweet girl got all "consistently demonstrates" and just a few "progressing in development". The progressing ones were in reading and writing. Her teacher says she sees incredible potential in her reading, so we're going to focus on that for a while.
She's always good, and always kind to her classmates, and always obedient to the teachers. Yeah, I'm very proud of my girl. :-)
