Superbowl Sunday

Well, we got the snowstorm of a lifetime yesterday. The final tally is 28.5 inches. Michael spent 3 1/2 hours shoveling the driveway, but it was still snowing, so we'll have to shovel a bit more today. He didn't even touch the sidewalk or front steps. This is only a big deal because today is Superbowl Sunday and we're supposed to be hosting a party. Steve and Maureen (our bridge buddies) are coming over with three of their daughters (who are my age) and one of their daughter's boyfriends. That's 6 people. Since our road hasn't been touched by plows, this may not happen, which would be completely disappointing by all, not to mention lots of cash down the drain spent on food. So, I will try to be optimistic and believe the good plows will be by soon and there will be no problems getting here for the party.
Speaking of optimistic, praise the Lord for us keeping our electricity all day long. From what I hear, we were the lucky ones!

Plows came by our street and did a GREAT job. Thank you, Lord.
