CVS 4-2-18

I needed toilet paper and wanted to use the $10 off $40 coupon I had, so I came up with a plan and got $65 worth of stuff for $10.

Picture 3 24 pk bottles of water in this picture
too.  They went straight to the fridge in the garage.

Deal #1:
If I spent $20 on certain items, I would get $5 back.  With Michael's favorite toilet paper in that list of items, I put it on my list.
2 Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper
Originally $15.29 each
On sale for $9.99
I used a $1 coupon

Dawn
Originally $1.79
On sale for $0.99
I used a $0.25 coupon

With my $10 off $40 coupon, I got both toilet papers and the dawn for a total of $4.72.

Deal #2:
If I spent $15 on certain items, I would get $5 back.  With bottled water in that list, I worked this next deal.  (Remember I have to get up to $40 and I'm trying to do it the smartest way possible.  With summer coming, we will go through A LOT of water.)
3 24 pk bottles of water
Originally $3.99 each
On sale for $2.49

5 bags candy (gummy bears, gummy worms, peachy rings)
$1.59 each
I used a $1 coupon

With my $4 coupon I got for money spent/saved Jan - Mar, I got three 24 pks of water, plus 5 bags of candy for $5.42.

Deal #3:
If I spent $15 on Covergirl items, I would get $5 back.  I had so many other coupons, I found something to buy!
2 Covergirl mascaras
$6.69 each
Used a $6 off 2 Covergirl manufacturer's coupon
Used a $2 off 2 Covergirl CVS coupon

I got both mascaras for a total of $0.38, or $0.19 each!  I'd call that practically free.

Originally this cost $65.67 before tax.
I spent $10.52 before tax.
I saved $55.15, or 84%.

Like usual, I used a CVS gift card and got it all for FREE!

And, here are your Walmart numbers.  You may think you are getting the best deal at Walmart, but you are not, my friend.  If I bought all of those things at Walmart, I would have spent $43.88 before tax.  My $10.52 has a savings of $33.36, or 76%.  (And using the gift card I got free from Discover card points, I saved 100%.)
