CVS 1-9-18

I brought Kara along with me today since we were running a bunch of errands already.  When we came home, she told Michael, "we bought a ton of junk food!"  lol.  I go where the sales are.  Today it was cookies, candy, vitamins, and toothpaste.  I do like that combination.

The lady who works there that I befriended was up front anyway and she came over to watch and see how much I saved.  That is always fun!  CVS is the best.  If you coupon shop anywhere, I vote for shopping there.

So, today I got $98.80 worth of stuff for only $17.47.  That's a savings of $81.33, which is 82%.

Let's start with the big deal on food.  If I bought $30 worth of certain cookies, candy, chex mix, etc, I would get $10 back.  So I did!

3 oreos
regular price $3.79
on sale for $3 each
I paid $9 total, or $3 each

4 chips ahoy
regular price $3.99
on sale B1G1 free
I paid $7.98 total, or $1.99 each

2 chex mix
regular price $2.99
on sale for $1.50
I had a $0.50 coupon off one
I paid $2.50 total, or $1.25 each

12 candies - mentos, snickers, etc.
regular price $1.25 each
on sale for $0.88 each
I paid $10.56 total, or $0.88 each

For spending all of that, I got $10 back.

Next we can do the vitamin deal.
Mens' and Women's one a day gummies 150 ct each
regular price $19.79
on sale for B1G1 50% off
I paid $29.68, or $14.84 each
BUT, I got $8 back for spending over $25 on those certain vitamins.
So I paid $21.68, or $10.84 each

Finally, the toothpaste.
Colgate
regular price $3.59
on sale for $3.50
coupon at the machine for $2.50
coupon on my card for $0.50
I paid $0.50

I used a $10 off $50 coupon.
I used the rest of a gift card I had, which took $19.11 off the total.

So, here are my totals:
Original CVS cost - $98.80
I spent $17.47
I saved $81.33, or 82%

The best part?  I looked up walmart prices for the exact same things (they had a lot of sales on cookies too), and I would have spent $71.53 on this at walmart.  That's still saving $54.06, which is 76%

I'm back!  :-)
