"July 4th" bbq

Every July 4th, we have a bbq / pool party at my parent's house with our dear friends the Hines family (Mr & Mrs Hines, their daughter Selena, her husband and three kids, Selena's best friend Jen, her husband and two girls, and Wesley and his wife). Since my mom was gone July 4th, we had it August 24th instead. It was a great day - all the kids had a great time and were very well behaved. The three girls (Malia, Daphne, and Calli) were so sweet to Kara. They decided to play ball and instead of ignoring Kara or being bossy (as most little girls are), they included her and taught her how to play. I am so impressed by the kind hearts of these little girls!
